Your speakers

Risqi Widayat, SME Business Group Head at Bank Syariah Indonesia

Risqi Widayat

SME Business Group Head, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk

Risqi Widayat is SME Business Group Head at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk — a banker who has spent a career on the side of finance that decides which businesses get funded: managing commercial and retail financing, and running the linkage programmes that extend bank financing through partner institutions.

Risqi has also managed nucleus–plasma oil palm partnerships across Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi — arrangements that only work when every party, from the plantation company to the smallholder, can see how the numbers add up.

Target-driven, a natural team leader and strong at building relationships with customers and partners, Risqi brings the lender’s view to this session: what makes a business worth financing, and what makes a bank say no.

Tjahjono Soebroto, Senior Executive Officer of Bank Syariah Indonesia in Dubai

Tjahjono Soebroto

Senior Executive Officer, BSI Middle East — Dubai Branch

Tjahjono Soebroto is the Senior Executive Officer of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Middle East — Dubai Branch, the bank’s presence in the UAE.

Before BSI, Tjahjono built a banking career at Bank Mandiri, Citi and Standard Chartered Bank Indonesia, across cash and trade business, risk management and business development.

Those are the disciplines that decide whether a business can fund its growth, move money across borders and survive its risks — and the questions a bank asks before it says yes. That is the view Tjahjono brings to this session.

Tjahjono is an alumnus of the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Gadjah Mada and holds an MBA from Monash University.
