Dian F. Suzabar
Chairman, Indonesian Business Council (IdBC) Dubai · Former Senior Executive Officer, BSI DIFC Branch
Dian F. Suzabar is the Chairman of the Indonesian Business Council (IdBC) in Dubai, and an executive leader with more than 21 years of international banking leadership across Southeast Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council, specialising in market entry, international expansion, government and regulatory affairs, corporate governance and Islamic finance.
As Senior Executive Officer of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia’s Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Branch, Dian led the establishment of the first Indonesian banking presence in the Middle East — building relationships with regulators, governments, institutional partners and key stakeholders across the UAE — and played a leadership role in the bank’s strategic expansion into Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, as Group Head Corporate Secretary of Bank Syariah Mandiri, Dian advised the Boards of Directors and Commissioners on governance, corporate actions, shareholder relations, regulatory affairs and institutional strategy.
Dian brings that first-hand experience to this session: what it takes to enter the UAE, work with its regulators and partners, and use it as a base for expanding across the region.
